Knights Find Offense, Beat Ottawa
The Vegas Golden Knights got their offense back on track and beat Ottawa on Thursday night 5-1. It was the second game of a four game road trip for Vegas.
Jonathan Marchessault scored two goals including an empty netter and Brett Howden, William Carrier, and Alex Pietrangelo added a goal apiece for the Knights. Robin Lehner was efficient in goal and finished with 38 saves for Vegas.
The Knights on Wednesday traded Alex Tuch to Buffalo for All-Star center Jack Eichel. Eichel won’t be suiting up for Vegas anytime soon though as he is sidelined with a herniated disc in his neck that will require a surgical procedure to correct. The timetable for his return to the ice after the surgery is three to five months.
Vegas continues its’ road trip with a game on Saturday in Montreal against the Canadiens at 4pm and then play the Red Wings in Detroit on Sunday at 3pm.
The Knights return home for a six game home stand with a game next Tuesday against Seattle at 7pm at T-Mobile Arena.
