If you live in America, you might think that the Apple phone is the most popular choice for phone users in the world. But you’d be wrong. When looking at Apple vs Android, it turns out that America isn’t the most on-trend.

Let’s look at the global popularity of Apple vs Android in 2024. According to blacklinko.com, Android has a 70.69% market share worldwide. But in America, iPhones are what dominate the phone industry, with a market share of 60.77%. Worldwide, Android is the more popular choice. On a global scale, there are 3 billion Android devices and only 1 billion iPhones, per blacklinko.com.
I’m team Android, as many of my iPhone friends know. Because they always complain that my texts are green. However, those same Apple peeps are borrowing my Android to take their photos because the quality is better. Not to mention, my phone is more user-friendly. Sure, it may have to do with the user that is using it. But I know how to navigate quickly through my device.

And I’m not just Android-biased because it’s all I know. I used to have an iPhone. I did not like it. It was calling people when I didn’t tell it to. That thing had my butt dialing people more than my fingers did. And what’s up with Apple connecting all your devices? That’s so frustrating. I get it is supposed to make life easier for Mac people but that wasn’t my experience.
Speaking of Mac, that’s another issue. Apple’s computer is seriously high-maintenance. I’m a DJ in the Las Vegas area, and I choose to use a PC workbook over a Mac computer because the Macs get overheated so easily. Same with the iPhone. If you leave that thing in your car just long enough to run into the bank and out again, sorry man. You aren’t making a call for at least an hour.
I know there are people on both sides of this argument. And I know the argument is real when it comes to those who have different phones. In fact, some people I know won’t even date someone who doesn’t share their view of which phone is better. And the difference of opinion has caused some tension at family game night.

I don’t mean to sound as if my phone is better than any iPhone users, however, it works better for me. I always suggest that you do what’s best for you when it comes to your electronic preferences.
