The Forge Is Exciting And Eye-Opening
The Forge is a movie written, directed, and produced by Alex and Stephen Kendrick two-thirds of the “Kendrick brothers.” according to their website, “We exist to honor Jesus Christ and make His truth and love known among the nations through movies, books, curriculum, and speaking.” Recently, there has been an increasing trend in Hollywood to produce faith-based films that focus on religious themes and values. According to MovieGuide.com, “the Entertainment Industry has shown that year after year, movies with moral, family-friendly, and uplifting content perform better at the box office than movies with excessive foul language, violence, and sex.
The Forge Focus On Changing Lives
The movie is a spin-off from War Room. Another great faith-based movie by the Kendrick brothers, that deals with a single mother trying to raise a teenage boy on her own. Can a woman raise a boy to become a man? In the real world, it is very difficult. Most boys look for that male figure to teach them how to be a provider, as well as a protector. A woman’s natural gift is being a nurturer, not a protector.
The Forge focuses on how a young man who comes from a single-parent home, learns a valuable lesson on responsibility, how to forgive, survive, and create better opportunities for himself and his family.
This movie is one of those that after you see it, you find yourself scrolling through your phone looking for people to call just to tell them what you just saw.
