Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt opened another store in the valley, and folks lined up around the corner to treat themselves to various delicious flavors.
now with 3 locations around the Valley 10170 W Tropicana Ave, 7345 Arroyo Crossing Pkwy and the newest location at 8975 W Charleston Blvd STE 170. In the summer of 1945 Handels was founded by a young lady named Alice Handel in Youngstown, Ohio. Making ice cream for her local neighborhood is what brought her joy. She created various homemade ice cream flavors that is still satisfying customers today.
The grand opening was amazing as folks came near and far to help celebrate this wonderous occasion. I had the chance to taste many of the flavors that made my taste buds excited. Some of my favorites were:
-
BLUE MONSTER
blue vanilla ice cream with Oreo cookies and Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookies -
MONKEY BUSINESS
banana cake batter ice cream using fresh bananas with caramel ripple and brownie pieces
-
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIE
chocolate ice cream with Reese’s Peanut Butter ripple and brownie chunks -
KEY LIME PIE
key lime ice cream with graham cracker ripple
That’s just to name a few with over 45 flavors to choose from. The service was amazing and the ice cream was so smooth and creamy with that homemade touch.
Las Vegas is so lucky to have this creamery in the Valley. Handel’s are committed to serving quality ice cream.
July 7 is National Chocolate day and Handel’s Home made Ice cream is offering a buy one get one free on a small cone or small bowl. Handel’s will also hold extended raffles throughout the weekend totaling more than 200 free ice cream giveaways.
As I watched customers walk away from the ordering window, I couldn’t help but to notice every person had a smile on their face. Some even came back for more. If you have never had Handel’s homemade ice cream, you have to get out and try it for yourself.
if you go to the Arroyo Crossing Pkwy location, tell them DJ Thump sent you.
