Drake Seemingly Responds To Kendrick Lamar Diss
Kendrick Lamar unleashed a scorching response to Drake on his new song “Euphoria” and now the 6God is responding. While the Kendrick Lamar diss track doesn’t have a proper response (yet) Drake made his way to social media to tell the Compton native what he thinks of “Euphoria.”
On Tuesday (April 30), hours after Kendrick responded, Drake uploaded a scene from the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You starring Julia Stiles’ character reciting a poem about her crush. Stiles’ character is seen reading her poem directed at the late Heath Ledger’s character: “I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair/ I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme! I hate it, I hate the way you’re always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you’re not around, and the fact that you didn’t call.”
In the film, Stiles’ character is talking about Ledger’s character in this way even though she is in love with him. The repost of the poem scene from the film references one of the lines in Kendrick’s “Euphoria.”
“I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress/ I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct/ We hate the bitches you f—, ’cause they confuse themself with real women.”
Drake Seemingly Responds To Kendrick Lamar Diss Track At Concert
In addition to the 10 Things I Hate About You scene on his Instagram Story, Drake joined Nicki Minaj on her Toronto tour stop where they performed “Needle” for the first time together. Drizzy also performed “Rich Baby Daddy” from his last album For All The Dogs: Scary Hours Edition. However, after he was leaving the stage after he performed the Sexxy Red and SZA-assisted track, he alluded to coming after Kendrick.
“You know what time it is,” he is heard saying in the fan-recorded video. “You know what I gotta do.”
Prior to “Euphoria” dropping, Drake took aim at Kendrick on “Taylor Made Freestyle” and “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50). Take a look at “Euphoria” below:
