Join Jammin’ 105.7 and The Salvation Army to distribute food boxes for the Thanksgiving holiday to families in need
LAS VEGAS – November 12th, 2020 – The Salvation Army Southern Nevada is partnering with the Latter-Day Saint Charities, The City of North Las Vegas, and our generous community – which donated turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pies, and non-perishable items – to provide food boxes for families in our community still suffering from lost jobs or wages due to COVID-19.
The distribution event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the City of North Las Vegas City Hall parking lot at 2250 Las Vegas Blvd North.
The event will be on a first-come, first-served basis, from 7 a.m. until supplies are gone. One family package per vehicle.
The pandemic has caused an exponential growth in need in our community the past eight months.
“We realize that in these trying times, it is important that families can maintain traditions that bring them together. Some of the most impactful moments happen when families gather around the table. We want to make sure that the families of our community can continue doing that this year,” said Captain Anthony Barnes, The Salvation Army Clark County Coordinator. “We have very generous partners who come alongside us to provide for this wonderful community. This food distribution is evidence of those amazing relationships in action!”
