I love my kitties. We’ve had a cat or more in our home since I was eleven years old. I didn’t realize how many cool items had come out to make the cats’ life (and mine) better until my daughter got her own cats. At first I was skeptical. “Why do you need all this crap?” The crap quickly became really good ideas: Cat life upgrades for pets and owners. I am officially a convert.
National Pet Day is April 11th, but for many of us, we celebrate our four-legged friends 365 and they rule our roost. They give us their mostly-unconditional love (I am talking specifically about cats after all) and we let them live their best life.
These are some of my favorite kitty upgrade items. The price range is not small. There are items I have and items I want. Wait til you check out the litter robot. Big price tag, but still tempting. Having said that, most items are around 20-30 bucks.

Fantasy Cat Water Fountain
There a lot of fountains out there. I chose this one because I didn’t want one that would take up too much counter space and I like that there are five color options so I could fit it in with my kitchen decor.
Cat Window Perch
I saw these at my favorite local pet supply shop. They have a couple of cats that live in the store. The cats did nothing but lay in these window beds and love life. I recommended them to my daughter and her cats love them too. If you have an open window space, you might want to try this.
Cat Bed/Hammock
Who doesn’t love a hammock? If you don’t have an open window space for the cat window bed, I’d highly recommend the kitty hammock.
Automatic Cat Feeder
My friend, Nicole, 100% will tell you her cat runs her home. While she totally cares for her kitty, just in case her four-legged diva runs light on food while she’s at work, Nicole opted for the automatic feeder. I like this one because it has a raised food bowl which I feel is better for digestion.
Litter-Robot 3 Core Bundle by Whisker
I saw this and I FREAKED OUT. We have reached a point in technology where I can own a cat without having to scoop the poop? Sign me up! Then I saw the price tag and decided it will be the first thing I buy when I win the lottery. Lol… it is seriously pricey, but still… I am thinking it over strongly. Even at this price point, it has 4.1 stars with over 1,300 reviews!
Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum
I have a Shark Vacuum and I love it. Having pets means having pet hair. Between two cats and two dogs, things get hairy fast. I’m not the only one who loves this vacuum: 4.5 stars with more than 30,000 reviews and it’s reasonably priced.
Vceoa Carriers Soft-Sided Pet Carrier
Look at this! I have the old plastic cat carrier that I’ve had for 10+ years… no wonder the cats are less than thrilled to get in. I found this sweet cat carrier and I’m getting it. What really sold me... 4.8 stars with over 20,000 reviews. That’s impressive and the price is completely reasonable.
