Park MGM To Be Vegas’ First Smoke Free Property
The Park MGM Hotel and Casino is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 30 and when it does it will do so as a completely smoke free property, the first and only one in Las Vegas. The NoMad Las Vegas boutique hotel on the upper floors of the Park MGM will also be smoke free. Health officials have maintained that smoke free properties could help slow the spread of the corona virus by eliminating the effects of people breathing contaminated smoke particles into the air. Many casinos have smoke free areas but none have been totally smoke free. The smoking ban at Park MGM will apply to vaping as well. Hotel officials at other Las Vegas properties say they’ll be watching the response to the smoking ban at the Park MGM.
