VIDEO: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul, How the Two Stack Up Ahead of Exhibition
One of the more unique events in the modern era of combat sports takes place on Sunday when retired boxing great Floyd Mayweather returns to the ring for an exhibition bout with social media influencer Logan Paul. The action goes down from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida and airs live on Showtime PPV.
Mayweather has not fought professionally since 2017 — a knockout victory over UFC star Conor McGregor — to run his record to a perfect 50-0. He has dabbled in the exhibition matches before this, scoring a first-round knockout over Tenshin Nasukawa in 2019, but this will be a much different test.
Paul meanwhile, fought once as an amateur and once as a professional, both fights taking place against fellow YouTube star KSI and with Paul on the losing end of both. However, Paul will stand a full six inches taller and weigh around 50 pounds more than the former pound-for-pound great when they enter the ring on Sunday night.
Of note ahead of the fight, Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation has stated that there will be no judges for the fight, nor will a winner be announced barring a stoppage or knockout.
Let’s take a look at how Mayweather and Paul match up heading into Sunday’s clash.
