Former NBA Star Lazar Hayward Arrested Over Fake Vaccination Records
Former NBA star Lazar Hayward,34, was one of two people arrested over uploading fake COVID-19 test results into Hawaii’s Safe Travels portal in attempting to travel.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “34-year-old Hayward and 33-year-old Raven Randle flew into Lihue Airport in Kauai from Los Angeles and uploaded the documents as a means to avoid the quarantine period required for those who are unvaccinated. They were arrested on charges of unsworn falsification after the documents were flagged.”
Hawaii officials made it a rule that anyone traveling to the island must prove that within the last 72 hours they have tested negative for COVID-19. If visitors do not show the records then they must first quarantine for 10 days on the island before going anywhere.
The two were released pending investigation and returned to L.A. on a direct flight, per the outlet.
