Damson Idris Once Again Addresses Saweetie Romance Rumors
After Quavo and Saweetie broke up last year, fans have been trying to tie her down with other industry stars including Snowfall actor Damson Idris.
Back in November, a video of Saweetie playing the piano in her home while Idris visited sparked dating rumors between the two which the actor cleared it up that they were just friends. In a recent interview, the actor again addressed the rumors.
“Me and that queen are just friends,” said the actor per HotNewHipHop. “She’s a great piano player, and I didn’t know she could play piano. I didn’t even think the world knew. I was like, ‘Oh this is a cool moment.’”
He also noted that Saweetie is a “huge” fan of the FX show and that they later went out to lunch to talk about future collaborations. “She wanted to show me her new place because I love CB2 and I was going to give her some ideas about furniture and art, and then boom, we went. She was playing the piano, that’s it. I was in there for five minutes and I dipped out. She’s a friend of mine.”
The actor made it clear that it was not a date and that he and the “Best Friend” rapper are just that, friends.
