Gunna Surrenders To Police After Being Hit With RICO Charges
Gunna has reportedly turned himself in to the police after being charged with one count of conspiring to violate RICO.
According to local news outlet CBS46, Gunna (born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens) was arrested Tuesday (May 10) following the arrest of fellow rapper Young Thug, and 26 other YSL members and associates, who were hit with RICO charges.
Thug (born Jeffery Lamar Williams) was arrested on charges of Conspiracy to Violate the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act and Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity.
Additionally, Thug is accused of allegedly giving permission to YSL members Christian Eppinger and Antonio Sumlin to make a second attempt to murder YFN Lucci while he’s in the Fulton County Jail located in Atlanta.
Brian Steele, Thug’s attorney, told XXL: “Mr. Williams has committed no violation of law, whatsoever. We will fight this case ethically, legally, and zealously. Mr. Williams will be cleared,” he said.
Thug appeared in court Tuesday (May 10) but it is unknown at this time whether or not he will be allowed bail.
