Usher Hints At Possible Super Bowl Guests
Usher might bring some talented friends along to “celebrate” his career milestone at the Super Bowl next year. It was announced back in September that the R&B legend has been tapped to be the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer. In a new interview with Extra, the singer vaguely hinted at the possibility of bringing some friends on stage with him.
“I do want to play the songs that people obviously recognize and the ones that I celebrate, I’ve been able to laugh, I have been able to cry, I have been vulnerable, I’ve been telling and honest,” he told the outlet. “I’ve also collaborated with a lot of people in the process, so… there’s a celebration there.”
Over his two-decade-spanning career, Usher has worked with Beyoncê, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Lil Jon, just to name a few. Either one of those special guests, or the host of other big name artists he collaborated over the years would be a good addition to his performance.

Usher has made it known that this opportunity is something that he does not take for granted and something he has wanted for a lifetime.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” Usher said in a press release for the Super Bowl announcement. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
Jay-Z, who signed a multi-year partnership with the NFL through his label Roc Nation, praised Usher’s longstanding legacy in the music industry.
“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul,” said JAY-Z. “His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.
