Usher Blasted After Visiting Russell Simmons
Usher is facing some backlash amid a recent video that has surfaced online. The R&B icon’s trip to Bali also included a visit to see Russell Simmons, who has had a tarnished reputation the past couple of years due to his alleged sexual assault cases. The former music executive shared a photo of him and the singer which has since caused a stir on social media.
“Morning flow with a bunch of really happy Bali friends the generosity of spirit exuded by my friend @usher was amazing,” Simmons captioned his post. “Fyi people were / are always so happy to be in his presence …so when i / they practice with him its a honor and privilege but the presence and attention he gives to each person is a gift. its tough to be present with so many of us ‘ fans’ each one of us demanding presence and focus its rare that a person can give so much w/ out it draining his energy …”
He also shared a video with him and Usher saying how he was happy about the singer’s visit.
“When i was at the lowest point in my life i woke up and this man was sitting by my bed .. i had known usher since he was a kid but we really bonded because of our mutual love for self discovery and our belief in Yogic science as a direct route to realizing Gods conciousness in ourselves …People remember to remember this ..a friend walks in when others walk out … i will never forget the generosity of spirit i witnessed in this man God bless you baby bro @usher [prayer hands emoji love you !!!!”

Russell Simmons’ Sexual Assault Allegations
Simmons’ sexual assault allegations began back in 2017. However, earlier this month, another lawsuit has been filed against Simmons. A former Def Jam video producer claims the music executive raped and sexually assaulted her back in the 1990s, per NBC. In 2017, the music executive stepped down from his businesses after he allegedly “sexually violated” another former coworker at his apartment in 1991. The two incidents are amongst a “long list of women who have accused Simmons of sexual misconduct in the 1980s, 1990s or in the 2000s,” the outlet reports.
