UNLV Athletic Director Desiree Reed-Francois Steps Down

It’s kind of been a revolving door over the last few years where UNLV athletics is concerned. New football coaches, new basketball coaches on both the men’s and women’s side, new baseball coach and now another new athletic director. Desiree Reed-Francois, who has held the AD position since 2017, announced that she is stepping down to take the same position at the University of Missouri. When Reed-Francois was hired at UNLV she became the first Latina AD at a major conference school and she’ll become the first female AD at Missouri. UNLV is formulating plans to search for her replacement.
Syd "Mr. Syd" Gaddy is the midday host, 10am-2pm on KOAS, "Jammin’ 1057." Syd has been with Beasley for 10 years and just last September was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. "Mr. Syd" has been in the broadcast industry for over 24 years working as on-air talent, public service announcement coordinator and as a program director. Syd is a sports fanatic and works part time for the local Vegas newspaper in the high school sports department and loves to focus his posts on local Vegas sports teams and happenings.
