The Selfie Studio: Decades Tour is a free photo and video pop-up happening now through May 30 at Fashion Show Mall.
There are multiple containers or “booths” all themed from a different era in time offering fun backdrops and a little nostalgia for all ages. Visit the fabulous 50’s then blast into the future with these interactive displays.
My two personal favorites are the ‘Blockbuster Video‘ booth and ‘Pac-Man Video Game‘ booth which will have you feeling like it’s 1985 all over again. Check out some of the creative containers below:
This multi-dimensional art installation provides great options to create some amazing photos and memories with friends and family.
Be sure to keep an artistic eye out as well when roaming the mall as there are quite a few other spots which make for awesome backdrops. Here’s one I particularly like that has that “Picasso” vibe. You’ll find it in the men’s section of Nordstrom.
For my fellow art lovers, come experience the Art Walk at Fashion Show Mall where you can enjoy works from local, national, and international artists throughout Level 1.
Fashion Show Mall is open until 8pm this week through Thursday, until 9pm on Friday and Saturday, then until 7pm this Sunday.
The word ‘selfie’ gained its popularity in 2002 and has become part of our everyday vocabulary but the very first ‘selfie’ was actually taken in 1839. According to The Economic Times, a Philadelphia man by the name of Robert Cornelius took a self-portrait by setting up a camera and running back into the frame.
The producing DJ duo, The Chainsmokers exploded onto the dance music scene with the release of their first single “#SELFIE” IN 2014. The song sold over ten million copies and landed atop the Billboard dance chart.
