‘I Want To Be A Raider’: Maxx Crosby Addresses Trade Rumors
Maxx Crosby is setting the record straight right from his own mouth. He doesn’t want to be traded and he wants to be a Raider.
It’s a crazy time in the National Football League right now. Players are getting injured and we’re starting to see who the contenders are and who the pretenders are. Teams are starting to look for that one extra piece that could lead them to the Super Bowl. One of those pieces that teams seem to have their eyes on is Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders. However, he’s letting it be known that he wants to stay–something Davante Adams didn’t make clear.
Maxx Crosby Wants To Be In Las Vegas
The Detroit Lions are getting a lot of love in various NFL Power Rankings from several publications and outlets. Many people, experts and internet folk alike, believe they have the best chance to come out of the NFC to make it to the Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers are dealing with a ton of injuries, the Tampa Bay Bucs are now beat up and will be without some of the best offensive weapons, and the Minnesota Vikings are being led by a quarterback who was supposed to be the back-up. However, the Lions recently saw their star defensive edge Aidan Hutchinson go down with a leg injury that will have him out for a long time–and that’s sure to affect their chances of making it all the way. So, do they stay in house and rely on several players stepping up? Or do they listen to fans and talking heads and hit the trade market? Many people in Detroit are calling on the team to bring Maxx Crosby back home. He is a native Michigander, after all.
However, his hometown isn’t the only team who could use his services. Baltimore’s defense isn’t what we’ve known it to be. It’s somehow become their weak link. They could definitely use somebody like Maxx Crosby. The Kansas City Chiefs are never afraid to bolster their roster but it’s hard to imagine him going to another team in the division. While other teams may desire his talents, he’s making it clear what he wants–and that’s staying in Las Vegas. According to Sports Illustrated, Crosby said, “Honestly, it’s crazy, bro. Last year, there was some trade talk. That’s when I feel like it kind of started, the ‘Send me to Detroit,’ their fan base was all over me. They’ve started a whole pandemonium, a whole movement. I’m sitting here innocently and just doing what I do. I feel like, you know, I’m – I have to address it with my teammates. I’m like, ‘I’m not trying to leave.’ I know it’s a f—ing business; I don’t have 100 percent control of all that, but I’ll say it loud and f—ing clear: I want to be a Raider.” Well, that seems to put any doubt to rest. Of course, the team could choose to trade him if they get a great offer. A championship doesn’t seem to be on the horizon and some major changes are needed. It would sting for the Raiders to now lose their best player.
