Barack Obama Honored With RFK Human Rights Award
Former President Barack Obama was presented with the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights ‘Ripple Of Hope’ Award, an honor given to people who “have demonstrated a commitment to social change”.
At the ceremony in Manhattan, Obama told the audience that “hope is the insistence that, no matter how hard our circumstances, there are better days ahead”. Past honorees of the RFK Award include both Bill and Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Robert DeNiro, Bono, and Taylor Swift.
