‘The Lion King’ Becomes Disney’s 4th Billion-Dollar Film of 2019.
Disney’s “The Lion King” is the fourth billion-dollar film of 2019. The remake of the animated film has grossed $360.9 million in North America and $638 million internationally. Other Disney movies to cross the one billion mark include Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Aladdin. Toy Story 4 is quickly approaching the one billion mark and Disney still has Frozen 2 and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker scheduled to hit theaters later this year.
