Las Vegas Honors Kobe And Gianna Bryant With New Mural
Many are still in shock and mourning the loss of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, and his 13-year old daughter Gianna. The two and seven others died in a helicopter crash on January 26 near Calabasas, CA.
To pay tribute murals have been on display all around the world including here in Las Vegas.
Eric Meidenbauer, a local graphic artist of Candid Worldwide designed the 20-foot-long mural located on a wall in the parking lot of Candid Worldwide LLC. The location is on Nevso Drive, near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard.
The mural is a digital file and was printed on vinyl in 54” panels. Then, it was applied to the concrete and heated on. While it looks as though it is painted on, the mural can be removed without damaging the wall.
Candid Worldwide says this particular mural is extra special as it serves “a tribute to a special man and athlete.”
Kobe and Gianna were reportedly laid to rest Friday February 7, in a private funeral service in California. A public memorial is schedule for Monday February 24 at Staples Center.
