Casinos Reopen To Large Crowds
The casino coronavirus closure has ended. Cards are being dealt, dice are rolling and slot machines flashed and jingled for the first customers who started gambling again early Thursday in Las Vegas and throughout Nevada. Hotel-casinos in downtown and suburban areas were first to open at 12:01 a.m., to be followed later in the day by reopenings of several resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. The D Hotel and Casino downtown had several dozen people waiting for the casino to open shortly after midnight. Guests had their temperatures checked at the door and dealers wore face masks or shields.
The Fountains of Bellagio put on their first show at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, since the casinos were forced to close in March.
The D Gaming Floor in Downtown Las Vegas has reopened.
