Winterfest Illuminates Downtown Henderson
Get ready: The city of Henderson’s holiday event of the season, Winterfest, is officially back!
Winterfest is a time-honored tradition. A tree lighting, parades — the whole nine yards. It’s the best of everything local Las Vegas has to offer in one special, larger-than-life event.
Due to… extraordinary circumstances, the in-person event was canceled the previous two years. There hasn’t been a parade since 2019 — but this year, it’s back and better than ever!
Start the yuletide season off right. On Dec. 1, go on down to the historic Water Street District and watch the town become a winter wonderland. On Dec. 2, come back and enjoy a resplendent holiday parade that will knock your socks off.
Get into the holiday spirit with gorgeous décor. Take some time and spend the night out with the ones you love most. Enjoy live music and a plethora of family-friendly activities. Take in the bright lights and magical sights. We have chills just thinking about it — and it’s not only because of the weather!
Caroling, kettle corn, a mini firework display — it’s the personification of all the joy and cheer we feel this holiday season.
We couldn’t be more excited that the parade is back. The city just wasn’t the same without it. Complete with displays from the best of what the Neon City has to offer, it is truly going to be a magical experience fit for the most wonderful time of the year.
The parade is a big one — about 80 floats. Wow! It runs at a minimum of two hours, so if you’re going, remember to dress warmly.
The tree lighting is today, Dec. 1, at 5 p.m. The parade is on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. Both events are entirely free, so don’t worry about buying tickets. Just put on your favorite Christmas sweater and celebrate another year well-spent.
