Raiders’ Darren Waller And Maxx Crosby Are Getting Married
Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum are getting married in Las Vegas over the weekend. Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler of the Las Vegas Raiders confirmed the news. Waller, the tight end for the Raiders, and Plum who plays for the Las Vegas Aces, are two of the better players in their sports.
Also on Saturday, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and longtime girlfriend Rachel Washburn are getting married. The Clark County clerk’s office shows Waller and Plum applied for the marriage license on Jan. 22.
The online bridal website theknot.com also shows that the couple had an online registry under their names.
Maxx Crosby’s job as a defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders is to get past an offensive line and disrupt the opposing offense. However, since March 11, 2020, Crosby has been working to get past his own internal offensive line and tackle his alcoholism.
Thankfully, the two-time NFL Pro Bowl star known for his bone-rattling quarterback hits, has had someone in his corner every step of the way. Maxx Crosby’s fiancee, Rachel Washburn, not only drove him to a rehab facility in 2020, but she drives him to be a better person day in and day out.
On March 11, 2022, the two-year anniversary of Crosby’s sobriety, he signed a four-year, $98.98 million contract extension with the Raiders, jolting his net worth considerably. By his side when he signed his monster deal? Rachel Washburn.
Even more exciting, on October 13, 2022, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Ella Rose Crosby. If Crosby didn’t have a reason to stay sober before, he certainly does now.
Love is definitely in the air, and for once we can see these athletes as regular people. Love has no dollar sign, and it does not wear a uniform.
I wish both of these couples the very best and many years of prosperity.
Next QB For The Raiders; Who Will It Be?
For the first time in nearly a decade, the Raiders will have a new Week 1 starting QB. Derek Carr has officially been released and the Raiders are searching for their next franchise passer.
The expectation for the last several weeks has been that the Raiders want to bring in a veteran quarterback, but the options seem to be dwindling. The most attractive option is Aaron Rodgers, but it’s not yet known if he wants to play in 2023 and the Raiders would still need to trade for him this offseason, even if he decides to return.
As we get further into the offseason, it seems more likely that the Silver and Black could draft their 2023 Week 1 starter. But is that still the most likely outcome?
According to espn.com, “they predicted every team’s starting quarterback for the 2023 season. For the Raiders, it wasn’t a veteran passer as most people expect. Instead, it was Will Levis from Kentucky.
Levis does feel like a great fit for the Raiders as he has the size and arm talent to take the offense to the next level. He still needs to show that he can improve his accuracy, but the physical traits and the physical toughness are certainly there.
Expect the Raiders to show a ton of interest in Levis over the next few months as he very well could be their Week 1 starter in 2023.
I have come up with my own predictions on who should be the next play caller for the Raiders. You may or may not agree with my choices, but after all, This is my post and my predictions. feel free to agree or disagree. I love a friendly debate, especially if it’s about my Las Vegas Raiders.
I have created a list of Quarterbacks I feel would make a positive difference in the franchise.
