Las Vegas Has The Number One New Restaurant Of 2023
Yelp has released their best new restaurants of 2023, and two Las Vegas establishments made the list. Sin City crushed it this year in terms of opening new quality places for people to enjoy both unique and authentic food. In fact, the restaurant that ranked #1 here is a Las Vegas establishment.
Furthermore, Yelp explained 2023 has been a successful year for the restaurant industry. This is, of course, great news coming out of what was an incredibly challenging pandemic stretch. “To celebrate the rising stars of the culinary world—and a 15% growth in new business openings each month this year (compared to 2022)—we’ve compiled a list of the Best New Restaurants of 2023,” Yelp said.
Both restaurants are among the 25 best new spots of the year happen to be in Las Vegas, and are approximately 12 miles from each other. However, they offer very different menus.
The Bedford by Martha Stewart Ranked #22
Located at Paris, this restaurant features Martha Stewart’s “most celebrated dishes.” The theme is to feel as if you are within Stewart’s home as she and her team designed everything from the menu to the interior layout. The house-made bread basket appears to be a must-have item, as is the lemon risotto with sea scallops. You can make a reservation here directly through the Caesar’s website.
Anima by EDO Ranked #1
Here we have the number one new restaurant in the country, according to Yelp. Anima by EDO is located off the strip at 9205 W Russell Rd. Just this summer, their chef (and owner) Oscar Amador was named a James Beard finalist. The menu is full of decadent items that are a la carte. Then, they are broken out by hot or cold appetizers, entrees, charcuterie, and pastas—the truffle cavatelli sounds (and looks) amazing. Make sure you also leave room for dessert at this Las Vegas spot that ranked number one among the best new restaurants of the year. From strawberry shaved ice to dark chocolate fudge with olive oil and sea salt, you can’t go wrong.
Usher: The Best Viral Moments From His Vegas Residency
“Don’t leave your girl round me, true player for real,” Usher sings on his 2001 hit “U Don’t Have To Call” and in 2023 the line still rings true. Usher has been making headlines ever since he started his Las Vegas residency last year. It has become one of the hottest tickets in Sin City and has since been extended.
This month, the Confessions singer added new dates to his residency, which will now end in December. Twelve new shows have been added: Nov. 3-4, 7-8, 10-11, 22, 24-25, 29 and Dec. 1-2. Additionally, he will be taking his show to Paris from the end of September through early October.
A Las Vegas residency is only one of the goals the R&B superstar wants to accomplish. He has dreams of showing the world his talents on the biggest stage. The Grammy-winner spoke to Access Hollywood earlier this year about the possibility of him headlining the Super Bowl.
“I’d be a fool to say no,” Usher said. “Well, things line up that we would all hope. You know, one day that moment will happen.”
This year Rihanna took the stage and made history as the most-watched Super Bowl performance. Rihanna’s total views during her performance were 121 million, which beat the record held by Katy Perry in 2015 with 118 million views. Perry brought out Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott during her performance, while Rihanna did the show solo.
However, for Usher, he is grateful for how career has progressed thus far and is looking towards any future milestone opportunities.
“What I am thankful for is the fact that there’s even any conversation about me — period,” he told The Associated Press. “I feel humbled that at this age and this juncture of my life, people still have to ask the question, (even) after all of the number ones that I’ve had and all the diamond (selling songs), that I have enough records to perform 15 minutes.”
Usher is also gearing up to release his ninth studio album, which the R&B star says will arrive “sometime this year.”
