Sandee Bonita: One Year Later And Always In Our Hearts
Dear Sandee,
It’s been one year since you have physically left us and it still does not feel real. The pain of your passing hurts and it may never go away. Many of your closest family and friends still feel your presence. We know you’re around looking after us and to keep us in check because you were always so caring for those closest to you. You had a special way about you that was very real yet beautiful. Your love was felt and it will never be forgotten.
Sandee Bonita; Princesa Salvadoreña
Sandee Bonita was a daughter, sister, best friend, mentor and one of Las Vegas’ best radio personalities. She took great pride in her El Salvadorian nationality helping pave the way for the next generation. She was a trailblazer in the entertainment space and very influential as a Latin community figure.
She was very involved in the cities that she lived in and giving back to her listeners was her bread and butter. Over her years she hosted local events including her signature, Sandee Bonita’s Water Drive. She loved Las Vegas and being able to make it a better place.
Sandee’s confidence and bubbly personality made her a standout amongst the competitors. She brought the California vibes to the desert air-waves which was truly a joy to listen to.
Sandee Bonita’s Good Words
Sandee’s final radio show was on Jammin’ 105.7 and those who listened remember her “Sandee Bonita’s Good Words” which was a segment where she would choose a song that fit what she was going through each week.
Her last song chosen was The Weeknd’s, “Heartless” where she talked about setting boundaries for oneself. She shares about protecting her energy and not allowing anyone to overstep.
She states, “Remember, we must take care of ourselves before we are able to take care of anyone else. Be “heartless” in protecting and taking care of yourself, both mentally and physically.” Sandee was always looking out for others. She was so wise for her young age and very in tune with herself which was always so admirable.
Happy Birthday Sandee
Happy Birthday Queen! Sandee passed on March 26, 2023, which was three days before her 34th birthday. Today, March 29, she would have turned 35 years old. And for those of us reading, she would not want us sad on her birthday.
Sandee would want us to remember her in her true superstar fashion. She always had the best outfits and shoes to match. She was the quintessential Latin Barbie. Today and every day on we will celebrate her and her contributions to the world. Cheers Sandee, we are holding up our champaign glasses with strawberries.
