Chris Brown Takes Aim At Quavo On “Freak”: How Did Beef Start?
The beef with Quavo and Brown began in 2017 when the Migos frontman was romantically linked to, Karrueche Tran, Brown’s ex. Tran has denied that she has ever been in a relationship with the Migos member, but fans believed they were dating due to them being seen spot out together.
“We’re friends! … I’m single. We’re having fun and enjoying life, nothing is serious. We have fun, we’re friends!” she told TMZ back in 2022 when it seemed as though they had rekindled a possible relationship.
In 2017, Brown and Quavo got into a brawl at the BET Awards and ever since then the two have not seen eye to eye. Their beef rekindled this year when there was an award seating arrangement at Paris Fashion Week. Brown was assigned to sit right next to Quavo, and Brown did not hold his tongue about how he felt.
“Can’t pick who u sit by. F— all that growth s—. N—- not gonna fumble my bag for little n—–,” Brown wrote in a since-deleted post on X (formerly known as Twitter.)
Fans commented on the post, with some questioning when the feud between the two began. Others attempted to offer some solutions.
“Double tap if you also were today years old when you found out Breezy & Quavo were beefing,” one person commented.
“One thing Chris Brown gonna do is get some s— off his chest [laughing emojis],” another fan wrote.
One fan rehashed some past insults Brown said about the Migos writing, “When he called them Earth, Wind, and Fire it never left my mind.”
“I think it’s bc quavo was messing with Kareuchee at some point ! It makes sense !!!,” a fan wrote referencing the Head Huncho’s rumored romance with Brown’s ex Karrueche Tran.
Prior to this alleged heated altercation with Quavo back in 2017, Brown praised the Migos. The singer did an interview with Billboard and called Migos “my real friends and brothers.” The Virginia native added: “I will never hate on you n—–.”
The Migos and Brown also did several songs together over the years prior to the shift in their friendship. They released “Flexing,” “Keep it 100,” “Just For Tonight,” and more.”
