Vultures 2 Release Date Amid Delays
Vultures 2 was originally supposed to arrive on March 8. On the supposed release date, there was an alleged direct message between a fan account (@yefanatics) and Kanye. The rapper said that he and Ty Dolla $ign are still working on the project.
“Hi Ye. Will Vultures 2 be available today?” the fan account asked the rapper, to which he replied: “We in the lab.”
Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign released the first volume of Vultures on Feb. 9. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Vultures 3 was supposed to be released on April 5, but there is no update on that album at this time.
Kanye Inserts Himself In “Big Three” Conversation
Over the weekend, Kanye dropped a fiery remix to Kendrick’s “Like That,” which was used to diss Drake and J. Cole. “Like That” is found on Future and Metro Boomin’s joint album We Don’t Trust You; the Atlanta rapper and producer have also been in the mix amid the drama that has come out of their joint album.
On Ye’s remix, he begins by referencing the feud between Drake and Kendrick.
“You know we had to get the hooligans up here to get these p—-n——out/ Yo Dot, I got you,” Ye raps.
Ye then calls out Cole and Drake by name. “Y’all so out of sight, out of mind/ I can’t even think of a Drake line/ Play J. Cole, get the p—- dry/ Play this s— back 130 times.”
Ye also inserted himself in the “big three” conversation when he said he “washed” Drake and Kendrick last month.
“EVERYONE KNOWS I WASHED KENDRICK ON NO MORE PARTIES IN LA,” he began of his and Kendrick’s 2016 hit before coming for his and Drake’s joint benefit concert in 2021. “EVERYONE KNOWS I WASHED DRAKE AT THE FREE HOOVER CONCERT/ EVERYONE KNOWS I BROUGHT ADIDAS INTO THIS CULTURE AND, I TOOK THEM OUT/ EVERYONE KNOWS LOTTA DEMNA VIRGIL JERRY KIM ALL WORKED FOR ME.”
He continued: “I MADE YEEZUS DARK FANTASY PABLO/ GRADUATION THRONE 808S/ I MADE RUNAWAY DEVIL IN A NEW DRESS FATHER STRETCH/ I AM THE ONLY PERSON TO COME BACK TO NUMBER ONE AFTER CANCELLATION.”
“THERE IS ONLY ONE GOAT/ I STAND BY ME/ MY FRIENDS CALL ME YE :),” he concluded in the since-deleted Instagram post per HipHopDX.
