LG Electronics To Stop Making Cell Phones
LG announced in a statement on Monday that it will be ceasing to manufacture cell phones. The cell phone division of LG is expected to be phased out by July although some existing LG cell phone models may continue to be sold. The statement released by the company cited increased competition in the cell phone business as a major factor in the decision to stop making phones. LG was one of the more popular American Android brands, trailing only Samsung and Apple in popularity, but lagging far behind primarily Chinese brands worldwide.
Syd "Mr. Syd" Gaddy is the midday host, 10am-2pm on KOAS, "Jammin’ 1057." Syd has been with Beasley for 10 years and just last September was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. "Mr. Syd" has been in the broadcast industry for over 24 years working as on-air talent, public service announcement coordinator and as a program director. Syd is a sports fanatic and works part time for the local Vegas newspaper in the high school sports department and loves to focus his posts on local Vegas sports teams and happenings.
