For The Record: Don’t Fear Hard Work

For The Record… “The only job you start from the top is digging a hole. It’s ok to start from the bottom and work your way up. Trust the process.”

I’ve never been afraid of hard work, in fact, I had to learn how to trust the process. I’ve learned that working my way to the top was more rewarding than trying to start from the top. I earned a football scholarship to USC and I didn’t want to redshirt. (Freshman team) so I went straight for the big boys. I got hurt and lost my scholarship.  Talk about hitting rock bottom. After physical therapy I did a walk on tryout for UC Davis. I made the team however I had to work my way to the top.

Like many of us, we see others driving new cars or enjoying life without earning it. The more I’ve observed, I realized most of their success is only temporary. Trust the process and hard work definitely pays off.
