The Weeknd Debuts New Song On ‘American Dad’
The Weeknd has a secret: He’s a virgin. At least that was the case with his character on a recent episode of American Dad. Per Variety, the song the singer performed was written specifically for the series with Asa Taccone, who is behind hits from The Lonely Island and Portugal. The Man.
The Weeknd spoke to Variety about his appearance American Dad, saying, “I’m a longtime fan of the show. I’ve been watching since high school but I really appreciated it about seven years ago. It’s been running for so long, and I feel like it has a real cult following. To really enjoy the show in its entirety you have to really know the characters.” He also adds that for his appearance, he wanted to have a little fun. “I always wanted to play a character that was the opposite of the public’s perception of me — and of course make fun of myself.”
