Following the success of its last two Halloween events, the Sand Dollar Lounge has embraced the spooky season by transforming its bar into an entertaining Halloween pop-up experience properly named “Nightmare on Spring Mountain.”
The Sand Dollar Lounge got its start in 1976 as the Sand Dollar Blues Bar instantly becoming one of Las Vegas’ most iconic bars. Per the venue’s website, some of the greatest blues legends, as well as many other famous musicians graced the stage for over 30 years. People like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and even Mick Jagger would swing into the Sand Dollar when they were in Vegas.
After being shuttered for two years, the bar reopened in 2009 honoring the history and tradition of the iconic venue naming it the Sand Dollar Lounge located at 3355 Spring Mountain Road, Suite 30, Las Vegas.
In addition to the Halloween atmosphere, the bar is serving up bone-chilling specialty drinks and witchy brews, custom menu items, live music at 10pm nightly, and themed costume nights every Sunday and Wednesday.
The first costume party will be held October 12 with a Walking Dead/Zombie theme.
Costume party details below:
16th- “Slutty” Anything: A few friendly suggestions, slutty Nurse, slutty police officer, slutty teacher, and/or slutty princess.
19th- Evil Clown/Circus: Examples may include Pennywise, Jack-In-Box, and/or Binky.
23rd- Disney (Fundraiser for Make-A-Wish): The Make-A-Wish foundation is one of my personal favorite organizations. I have seen first hand the positive impact it has had on many children and their families coping with a critical illness. Come dressed as your favorite Disney character and have fun while supporting this great cause.
26th- 70’s Disco/Funk Prom: Look out John Travolta, we’re coming for you. Inspired by “Saturday Night Fever” and “Studio 54“, this party is all about bellbottoms and polyester shirts.
