Weekdays 2pm - 7pm Saturdays 9 am - 2pm

The city of Las Vegas finally has its first major league championship as our Las Vegas Aces beat the Connecticut Sun Sunday in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals.

Fans are frantically trying to get their hands on Championship gear to wear to tonight’s celebration parade and to show their support during this exciting time. The team announced two official pop-up merchandise stores selling a variety of gear and memorabilia.

I stopped by the first pop-up this morning which was held at Findlay Toyota 7733 Eastgate Rd. in Henderson from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and couldn’t believe the amount of people waiting in line. As great as it was to see so many people come out and support the team, there was no way I was going to make it through that line in my allotted time.

The second pop-up store is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Wednesday) from noon to 7 p.m. at Autonation Toyota 6300 W. Sahara Ave.

From what I saw on display, Championship T-Shirts were selling for $40 while hoodies and other items were selling for as much as $85 and $110.

A more affordable option may be to “make your own.” A local custom print shop that I myself have shopped at, Customistic made some really cool t-shirts in honor of the Aces win (see below). The store turns orders around super quick. Find them at 2605 S. Decatur Blvd. Suite 105 in Las Vegas.

Whether or not you’re able to get your hands on some Championship apparel, make sure to come out and show your support for our Aces tonight for the official parade and festivities by wearing red.

Today’s free event kicks off at 5:30pm and is open to the public. Attendees include members of the Las Vegas Aces, the coaching staff, as well as city and state officials. The main stage can be found in front of the Bellagio Hotel Fountains.

Aces Make History With 1st Professional Major Las Vegas Championship

For the first time ever, the Las Vegas Aces are WNBA champions. On Sunday afternoon, the Aces hung on for a dramatic 78-71 win over the Connecticut Sun in Game 4 of the 2022 Finals to take the series 3-1. In addition to this being the franchise’s first title, it is also the first major professional title for a team in Las Vegas.

The first half was a rugged, forgettable affair in which each team had a scoreless streak that lasted over five minutes. Thankfully, both teams settled down and found a rhythm in the second half to create a much more enjoyable experience. The game going down to the wire helped in that department as well.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Aces opened up a six-point lead and appeared to be on the verge of pulling away. Instead, the Sun converted a five-point possession after Kelsey Plum’s reckless closeout on DeWanna Bonner’s 3-point attempt was upgraded to a flagrant foul. That swing allowed the Sun to jump right back into the game, and they briefly grabbed the lead with 2:22 remaining on a Courtney Williams jumper.

From that point on, though, it was all Aces and all Riquna Williams. Inserted into the game when the Aces went to their small ball lineup, Williams scored eight straight points for the Aces on a pair of 3-pointers and step-back jumper. Kelsey Plum added a bucket, Jackie Young added a free throw and that was it. The Aces will bring home the WNBA Finals trophy. With 2 time WNBA champion Chelsey Gray named MVP.

The celebration parade will be onย  Tuesday Sept. 20th beginning at 5:30 pm. Free and open to the public. The rally will begin at Caesars Palace and continue on Las Vegas Blvd. south. Culminating at a stage in front of the Bellagio fountains with remarks from members of the team, coaching staff, Governor Steve Sisolak and Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft.

Traffic on the southbound lanes of Las Vegas Blvd will be closed between Flamingo and Bellagio Dr. from 6:00am-11:00pm as a result. The roads by Caesars Palace and Flamingo Road will experience rolling closures throughout the event.

Parking is available in several self parking garages at standard parking rates. fans are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.
