To cook or not to cook? That is the question we’re facing this week heading into Thanksgiving but after twenty minutes of playing bumper carts in the isles of my local Smith’s grocery store I can tell you I’m starting to consider eating out.

I mean, it’s only me and two of my buddies so before you start calling me a Grinch or something no one is pulling a no-show at Grandma’s. I don’t mind cooking and I can hold my own in the kitchen but trying to get all of the needed ingredients in your shopping cart is like the scavenger hunt from H.E. double hockey sticks not to mention stressing my budget. How much is Thyme? Do I really need Thyme?

Nothing beats a home cooked meal but let’s be honest, this group just wants to pig out and watch football so I started to look around Las Vegas to see what our options might be. I was pretty surprised to learn just how many different spots were going to be open and serving that golden bird.

I’m sure there are some higher-end fine dining spots serving dinner Thursday as well but this is for my sweat pants, T-shirt, and tennis shoes friends just looking for some place to stuff their faces and get out.

Here’s what I found around town:

Golden Corral will be open and celebrating Thanksgiving from 10am-8pm.

Blueberry Hill Family Restaurant is serving both a Turkey and a Ham Dinner for under $24.

Hash House A Go Go will be open Thanksgiving from 8am-4pm.

Black Bear Diner invites you to choose from Slow-Roasted Prime Rib, Homestyle Turkey, or Old-Fashioned Smoked Ham Dinner entrees, complete with soup or salad, cornbread muffin, red-skinned mashed potatoes & gravy, housemade cornbread stuffing, Italian green beans, and a slice of pumpkin pie.

According to their website, Black Bear Diner will start serving at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Now if you do happen to want something more upscale, STK Steakhouse has you covered with their Thanksgiving Day offerings.

Whether you decide to dine-out or dine-in, have a very Happy Thanksgiving and “Save the neck for me, Clark!”.
