Kid Cudi To Replace Kanye As 2022 Rolling Loud Miami Headliner
Kid Cudi will be replacing Kanye West as the 2022 Rolling Loud Miami Headliner the festival has announced.
“We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022,” Rolling Loud co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler said in a statement shared via Pitchfork. “We spent months working with him and his team on the performance. Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing. This is the first time a headliner has ever pulled off our show and though we don’t take it lightly, we wish him the best. We look forward to welcoming Kid Cudi as a headliner in Miami and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.”
Cudi will join Future and Kendrick Lamar who are the day two and day three headliners; other artists on the bill include Lil Durk, Lil Baby, the City Girls, and more.
This is not the first time Kanye has ditched a headlining performance last minute. Earlier this year, Ye was set to be the headliner for Coachella and dropped out of the festival just days before. He was later replaced with The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia.
Also back in February, the Ye and Cudi had a very public falling out shortly after they were seen on the track “Rock N Roll” from Pusha T’s LP It’s Almost Dry.
