Big Fight In Vegas: Tank vs Ghost Predictions
Tank vs. The Ghost will be an exciting match-up. And with many big-time Boxing matches going to Saudi Arabia lately for money, it sure feels great to have an exciting fight happening again in Las Vegas! This weekend we are talking about Gervonta “Tank” Davis vs Frank “The Ghost” Martin. This will be a lightweight championship showdown with a superstar in Davis, against the new face in his division, and up-and-comer Martin. The Ghost is undefeated and he needs a big win to get him over the top.
Tanks Skills Versus The Ghost
Frank Martin is a very skilled fighter and looks to be ready for the challenge against one of the best boxers of today. As even as the fight looks on paper, some boxing fans do not see this being close. Both are southpaws, and Martin is the taller fighter. But as his name says, Tank is built just like one.
He’s short and tough with a devastating left hand. 27 of Davis’ 29 fights were won by knockout and this is predicted to be another sleeper in the later rounds. According to cbssports.com, Davis returns to the ring for the first time in more than a year. In his last performance, he stopped then-undefeated prospect Ryan Garcia in the seventh round.
The Ghost Can Shock The World
Don’t sleep on The Ghost, Martin is fully capable of holding his own. He is undefeated and very hard to hit. His strength is fighting on the outside and using his straight left jab. If he can avoid being baited into a brawl, he will have a pretty good chance to win.
In the press conference face off, there was a lot of bad blood and trash talking, especially from Davis. And it looked like he accomplished what he sought out to do. Towards the end, Davis flinched at Martin and he jumped just enough to draw the crowd into a frenzy and probably showed a little intimidation!
Former NBA star Darius Rice thinks this fight could be another knot under Tanks’ belt until a tougher opponent emerges. And I feel this will be a big night for Martin, and he could shock the world. Remember, they were once sparring partners under Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the bad blood between these two men has been brewing for some time.

The one thing Tank cannot do is overlook his opponent and think this will be an easy fight. As many sparring battles they have had, I’m sure they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses very well, so Tank does not need to get caught slipping. My prediction is, It will be a good night for boxing fans on the Vegas strip! And Davis will get knockout in the ninth round.
