Shooting At Las Vegas Law Office Leaves 3 People Dead
Three people are dead after a shooting occurred at Prince Law Group on Monday, according to The Las Vegas Review-Journal.
According to the Review-Journal, the gunman allegedly shot and killed attorney Dennis Prince and a woman. The shooter then allegedly took his own life. The incident happened around 10 a.m. Monday.
CNN reported that people started calling officials around 10 a.m., alerting to an “an active shooter incident on the fifth floor of a six-story building.”
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department posted on X (formerly Twitter) around 10:30 a.m. that they were “investigating a shooting inside a business near Pavilion Center Drive and Charleston. This is a dynamic event and multiple LVMPD emergency vehicles are responding. Please avoid the area.”
Hundreds of people were inside the building located at 10801 W Charleston Blvd #560, Las Vegas, NV 89135. Police said officials evacuated people during the incident.
Police said they are currently investigating the relationship between the victim and shooter,
Shooting At Las Vegas Law Office, Alleged Victim Is Prominent Attorney Dennis Prince And His Wife
Officials have not officially released the identity of the shooter, the other male victim or the alleged female victim. Further, police said the shooter died from an apparent self-inflicted gun wound.
However, Channel 13 reported that the gunman was attorney Joe Houston. Police have not confirmed this. Along with that, Channel 13 also said the victims were “Houston’s former daughter-in-law, Ashley Prince, and her new husband, attorney Dennis Prince.”
Channel 13 reported that allegedly, Joe Houston represented Dylan Houston, his son. They were in child custody proceedings with Ashley Prince, who was being represented by Dennis Prince, her husband. Ashley Prince was formerly married to Dylan Houston (the alleged shooter’s son).
“Sources also tell us that the now-deceased couple (Dennis and Ashley Prince) recently welcomed a new baby — their only child together,” Channel 13 states.
