2023 was a year of growing for Jammin’ 105.7. We were very grateful to be able to be a part of many events in the community! We want to highlight our TOP 10 moments with you. You have allowed us to become bigger and better each and every year. We think that it’s only justified that we relive these moments together one more time.
It was a busy year for team Jammin’ as we continued our legacy in providing you the best in old school and more.
Here are some magical and important experiences we really wanted to highlight:
We teamed up with the Martin Luther King Parade where DJ Thump played music for the crowds. We will continue as a station to show up and help spread the message of equality for all.
Former employee, Picazzo Stevens, DJ’d and cheered scalers on at the Scale The Strat event for the American Lung Association. We are very proud of our promotions director, Taya Williams for scaling for Jammin’.
DJ Thump, Zenja Dunn and Mr. Syd all attended the Tacos and Tamales Festival! We got to hang out with listeners and taste test yummy food. We are super thankful to be partnered up with Clark County Parks and Recreation on this event.
DJ Thump honored our late queen, Sandee Bonita at the Colors of Lupus 5k Walk. We were able to honor her with a plaque for her family. We will continue to spread her story as she was an inspiration to all. We love and miss you Sandee.
We gave away tickets to many of your favorite shows including: Smokey Robinson, New Edition, Usher, WuTang Clan & Nas and many many other talented artists. We loved giving you chances to win family four-packs to the Disneyland Resort.
The annual Juneteenth Festival took place to commemorate equality, love , peace and the end of slavery. Our very own DJ Thump and Zenja Dunn were able to educate, listen and be with members of our community.
The Vegas Golden Knights brought home the Stanley Cup to the city of Las Vegas. We broadcasted LIVE from BrewDog to celebrate our hard-working players. #GoKnightsGo #WinCity
DJ Thump hosted the official Life Is Beautiful Pool Party at the Downtown Grand’s Citrus Grand Pool Deck. We were giving away swag and alcohol to lucky listeners. The Baka Boyz were supplying us with perfect summer playlist.
Halloween was even bigger this year for us. We teamed up with our sister stations and Clark County Parks and Recreation to host Monster Mash at The Crossing Church. We witnessed fabulous costumes, lots of candy and our community coming together for a night of fun.
Paws In The Park returned for it’s second annual at Desert Breeze Park. We couldn’t have done it without NSPCA and Clark County Parks and Recreation. Special thank you to The702Firm, Cameron Law and Eric Roy. Over 50 dogs got adopted from our event which warms our heart.
Thumpa Claus and his closest friends got together to make a families holiday special! Thumpa And Mrs. Claus were able to help provide lots of toys, a tree with beautiful decorations and a hot dinner spread. The joy in their eyes made it all worth it. We are so grateful to everyone who helped giveback.
We are excited for 2024 and can’t wait to create many more fun experiences. Thank you for listening to us and staying dedicated. You mean the world to us. #JamminFAM #Jammin1057
