Golden Knights Open Season Tonight
Our beloved Vegas Golden Knights open the regular season tonight with a home game at T-Mobile Arena against the division rival San Jose Sharks. Puck drop is 7:30pm. After making the Stanley Cup final in their first season, the Knights were eliminated from the playoffs last year in a hard fought series against San Jose. Tonight’s game is part of a season opening home and home series, with the Knights traveling to San Jose to battle the Sharks on Friday at 7:30pm. Part of the storyline of tonight’s game is the three game suspension of Sharks wing Evander Kane for making contact with an official. Kane is part of the reason why the rivalry between the Knights and the Sharks has grown into such a physical one. The Knights finished the preseason with a record of 5-2, including a 5-1 win over the Sharks last Sunday. The two games against San Jose are a great way to kick off the campaign as the Knights get their third season underway and seek once again to bring the Stanley Cup to Vegas.
