Canadiens Steal One From Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights rallied late but fell short on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena, losing 3-2 to Montreal. The semifinal playoff series is now tied 1-1 and moves to Montreal for games three and four. The Canadiens jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in Wednesday night’s game and lead 3-0 late in the second period before Alex Pietrangelo got the Knights on the board as the period came to an end. Pietrangelo scored again with five minutes to go to pull within 3-2 but Canadiens goalie Carey Price was up to the task of stopping the Knights furious rally, making 16 of his 29 saves in the third period. Game three is scheduled for Friday evening at 5pm at the Bell Centre in Montreal, where only 3,500 fans will be allowed to attend.
