Raiders Take Down Eagles
The Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 33-22 on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. With the win, their second in a row under interim head coach Rich Bissacia, the Raiders are now 5-2 and alone in first place in the AFC West division, a half game ahead of the Chargers, who had a bye yesterday.
Philadelphia led 7-0 after scoring on their first drive but Vegas, behind quarterback Derek Carr, scored 30 unanswered points over the second and third quarters. Carr had an excellent day, going 31-of-34 passing for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Vegas tight end Darren Waller was out with an ankle injury but backup tight end Foster Moreau filled in admirably with six catches for 60 yards and a score. Carr hit nine different players with passes. Running back Kenyon Drake led the Raiders rushing attack with 69 yards on 14 carries.
Vegas has a bye week next week and then will travel to New York to face the Giants on Nov. 7 at 10am.
It’ll be nice to say “first place Raiders” for the next two weeks.
