Knights Top Colorado, Snap Losing Streak
The Vegas Golden Knights got a much needed win on Tuesday night in Denver, beating the Avalanche 3-1 and snapping their four game losing streak.
The Knights started fast, jumping out to a 2-0 lead behind a first period goals from Chandler Stephenson and Reilly Smith. Colorado tallied a second period goal to pull within 2-1 but Vegas goalie Robin Lehner remained steady for the rest of the game and finished with 26 saves.
The Knights added an empty net goal after the Avalanche pulled their goalie late in the third period in an attempt to tie the game.
