Undermanned Knights Start Road Trip With Loss
After recovering from their dismal 1-4 start to the season with three wins in a row, the severely short-handed Vegas Golden Knights kicked off a four game road trip with a 4-0 loss to Toronto on Tuesday night.
The Knights are missing leading scorer Max Pacioretty and team captain Mark Stone who’ve both been out since early in the season and center William Karlsson who’s out six weeks with a broken foot.
The lack of star power showed as Vegas couldn’t generate any offense against Toronto.
The Knights’ road trip continues as they move on to Ottawa to face the Senators at 4pm on Thursday, followed by games at Montreal on Saturday and in Detroit on Sunday.
Vegas will return home to kick off a six game home stand on Tuesday, Nov. 9 against Seattle.
Knights head coach Peter De Boer had no specific updates on when Pacioretty and Stone will return from their injuries.
