You Can’t Touch The Stanley Cup Until you Win It
The Stanley Cup is up for grabs. There are a lot of superstitions in sports that can get violators in a lot of trouble. Superstitions like not walking on the chalk before a baseball game, or “don’t touch it until you win it!”
That’s the Slogan of the Stanley Cup. You do not touch the cup until you win it. People use gloves to hold it. But you can’t put your actual hands on it until it is yours!
The Right To Touch The Stanley Cup
Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers are battling it out for the right to touch the Stanley Cup. The Panthers are one win away from touching it, but after losing a 3-0 lead they seem to not want to touch it! It is now 3-2 as they head back to Edmonton with the right to go to seven games. After the 8-1 game, the Florida Panthers are left reeling and looking for answers. According to Covers.com, The Stanley Cup odds are tightening up as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Florida Panthers in Game 5, 5-3, to make it two straight wins with their backs against the wall.
With stars Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov, and Carter Verhaeghe, the team has enough firepower to end it in game 6. The Oilers are fighting back making it a more interesting final than the NBA finals was. The Oilers have the one player who can change everything: Connor McDavid, The Athletic reports. The former #1 pick has led the team in scoring and assists, and he is determined to bring the team back from the 3-0 deficit. The Panthers lost to the Las Vegas Golden Knights last year and are trying to finish the deal this season.

The defending champion Golden Knights, failed to make it the year. But, we hope our Knights get back to the finals next season. Friday night is all about the Florida Panthers though because — I feel — if they do not close it out in game six, the momentum will be too high for Edmonton to come back and win after being down 3-0. For what it’s worth, it will make a great storyline, and I’m hoping to see one good hockey fight! Who would have thought that a team from the warm state of Florida would win a hockey championship? Then again, no one thought Vegas could last year, so maybe it’s time for the hot states to take over! They play on ice, too!
