Runnin’ Rebels Get First Win Of The Season

Junior transfer David Jenkins scored had his best game as a Rebel, scoring 25 points and helping UNLV notch it’s first win of the season, 68-58 at Kansas State on Saturday. Bryce Hamilton added 18 points and Caleb Grill scored 12 for UNLV, which led 31-30 at halftime. UNLV was scheduled to play Eastern Washington on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at the Thomas & Mack but that game has been cancelled after a member of the UNLV team tested positive for Covid-19. UNLV’s next scheduled game is next Monday against Pepperdine at the Thomas & Mack.
Syd "Mr. Syd" Gaddy is the midday host, 10am-2pm on KOAS, "Jammin’ 1057." Syd has been with Beasley for 10 years and just last September was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. "Mr. Syd" has been in the broadcast industry for over 24 years working as on-air talent, public service announcement coordinator and as a program director. Syd is a sports fanatic and works part time for the local Vegas newspaper in the high school sports department and loves to focus his posts on local Vegas sports teams and happenings.
