Knights Can’t Score, Drop Game One To Minnesota In OT
In game one of their opening round playoff game against Minnesota, the Golden Knights outshot the Wild 42-30 but couldn’t put one in the net and lost 1-0 in overtime in front of almost 9,000 fans at T-Mobile Arena. Joel Eriksson Ek scored the game winner 3:20 into overtime for Minnesota, spoiling an outstanding effort in goal by the Knights’ Marc-Andre Fleury. Vegas got back previously injured players Ryan Reaves, Alec Martinez, Alex Tuch, and Tomas Nosek but were still without leading scorer Max Pacioretty. Minnesota now has home ice advantage in the series. Game two will be played on Tuesday at 7pm at T-Mobile Arena.
