Aces Get First Win Of Season, Beat Seattle
The Las Vegas Aces bounced back from their season opening loss to defending champion Seattle with a 96-80 win over the Storm on Tuesday night in Seattle. Jackie Young tallied 21 points and 10 rebounds and A’ja Wilson added 18 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists for the Aces. Backup point guard Chelsea Gray chipped in with 11 points and seven assists and the Aces turned up the defense against the Storm. Vegas had a total of six players in double figures. The Aces will play their first home game of the season on Friday against the L.A. Sparks at 7:30pm at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Syd "Mr. Syd" Gaddy is the midday host, 10am-2pm on KOAS, "Jammin’ 1057." Syd has been with Beasley for 10 years and just last September was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. "Mr. Syd" has been in the broadcast industry for over 24 years working as on-air talent, public service announcement coordinator and as a program director. Syd is a sports fanatic and works part time for the local Vegas newspaper in the high school sports department and loves to focus his posts on local Vegas sports teams and happenings.
