Injury Bug Already Plaguing Raiders
After their week one home win in OT against Baltimore on Monday night, the Raiders will be traveling to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on Sunday. Pittsburgh won it’s season opener, beating Buffalo on the road so it’s a matchup of unbeaten teams.
The injury bug is already biting the Raiders hard as right guard Denzelle Good and defensive tackle Gerald McCoy both suffered season ending knee injuries in Monday night’s game. Both injuries brought sadness and contemplation to the Raiders locker room. The mindset however is one of “next man up.” The Raiders are also dealing with injuries to a number of other players including running back Josh Jacobs, left guard Richie Incognito, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota, and linebacker Nick Kwiatkowski.
The Raiders have signed a number of players off other team’s practice squads to make up for the loss of Good and McCoy.
Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh is at 10am and the Steelers are favored by five and a half points.
