New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton Tests Positive For Coronavirus
The head coach of the New Orleans Saints, Sean Payton, says he has tested positive for the coronavirus. Payton says he didn’t feel well over the weekend and got tested. He’s the first NFL player or coach to test positive since the outbreak began. The virus continues to affect athletes. Earlier this week, NBA player Kevin Durant and three of his Brooklyn Nets teammates tested positive for the virus. The NBA was the first league to shut down operations after one of its’ players, Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz, tested positive a couple of weeks ago. Payton is resting at home and reports that he has no fever or cough, only feeling slightly fatigued. He urges people to heed the advice of health experts and cautions young people especially to take the warnings seriously.
