District North Is Creating An Amazing Experience In The Community

District North is a new movie theater in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas Art District that is making a difference in the community. Offering more than just movies, District North DTLV Venue and Event Space is committed to Las Vegas locals by giving a family-oriented atmosphere where they can come and enjoy a movie, event space, and free line dance classes for all ages. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8aDGHPv2ZI District North Has Created A New Brand Formally known as The Eclipse Movie Theater, it later transitioned to the Art Houz. Both of these spaces were still a movie theater, showing current films and independent films. There was even a restaurant and event center along with the theater. However, according to Victoria Kimbell, who's the Director of Event Management of District North, the term Art Houz in the name was a little ambiguous. People didn't know if they were showing artsy films, or if it was a place where they displayed art on the walls. So, as they transitioned and took over, it was important to start rebranding the building to District North. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8FZ7F8RVLv District North Has More To Offer Than Movies  When you walk into this building there's what I like to call the "wow factor." They have a full-service restaurant with a full bar. A room called the speakeasy, which has its own separate event space plus the traditional movie theater space. They have seven other theaters and a 4,000-square-foot beautiful, open panoramic event space where they offer free line dance classes for the entire family. They can do many different events, at the same time. Weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, as well as movies. They have pulled off two weddings at the same time -- in the same building -- and neither one interrupted the other, Kimbell said.  https://www.instagram.com/p/C8BNipntsvC Related story: Some People Are Over Tyler Perry Making The ‘Same Movies’ District North DTLV Line Up Of Events Each week you can enjoy "Throwback Thursdays," where they show back-in-the-day films in the Speakeasy Theater. They've shown films like "Purple Rain," in honor of Prince's birthday. Also the "Wiz," "School Daze," "The Bodyguard," and more. As mentioned before, they have free line dance classes on Wednesday evenings from 6-10 p.m. on the third floor that the whole family can enjoy. A family that dances together stays together. According to iMom.com, "When families have fun together, it builds a bond that can last a lifetime."
