The UNLV football team will open its’ season on Thursday, Sept. 2 at Allegiant Stadium vs. Eastern Washington at 7pm. The Rebels will play all of their home games at Allegiant.
The major news surrounding the Rebels is that head coach Marcus Arroyo hasn’t named a starting quarterback. Doug Brumfeld and Justin Rogers have been splitting reps in practice during training camp and both may see time during the team’s opener. Both QB’s were listed at the top of the team’s depth chart. Both players were on the team last season and both played in only two games each. Brumfeld is a sophomore and Rogers is a senior transfer from TCU.
After Thursday’s game, UNLV will travel to Arizona to face Arizona State on Saturday, Sept. 11.
